Name eytmology

edit

Right now the article says "Eaton derives it from the Latin, interpreting the whole name as a barbarous mixture signifying "Our Knobs," an etymology which seems unlikely. Further light on the source of the name is needed". This seems unecyclopedaic to me. I suggest we either remove any mention of the eytmology from the article or put something in it that we believe is supported by the sources. Thoughts? If not supported by the inline citation, it should be removed. Throast {{ping}} me! (talk | contribs) 20:52, 25 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
