Kirsty's Junkets
editThere is nothing about KW's series of programmes for the BBC visiting European cities. A shocking dopiness and philistinism is shown in them - not by KW alone by any means. I turn beetroot red several times during each one. I only watch because I think it is good for circulation in the capillaries. Pliny 13:51, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
You are obviously referring to the series "Tales from Old Europe" broadcast in 2006 - it is there now (in fact, I feel that I may have been the one who added it to the article). ACEOREVIVED (talk) 10:39, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
The Book Quiz
editAs from April 2008, Kirsty Wark has been presenting "The Book Quiz" on BBC Four, replacing David Baddiel as the programme's presenter. This merits mention here. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 21:21, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Other controversies
editI somehow can't bring myself to put anything negative in the article, but should this be mentioned? Saw something else about some fiasco involving her Majorcan house too... User:LaFoiblesse 2008-11-07 23:58 (GMT)
- Grief! How many breaches of WP:NOT is this? Trivial, tabloid, non-notable shite and unbecoming of an encyclopedia. We don't need it. --Rodhullandemu 22:31, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- She is essentially notable solely for presenting Newsnight. If she is unable to do so without causing offence to the viewing public, then how is that not becoming to the article? LaFoiblesse 2009-02-03 13:56 (GMT)
Kirsteen?
editIs her first name really Kirsteen? Who's Who gives it as Kirsty, and that seems a pretty safe reference. --88.109.120.181 (talk) 17:42, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- Only The Telegraph cites it as Kirsteen, but that's reliable enough, I suppose. However, in the absence of a definitive answer, and the balance of sources (and also assuming that she prefers Kirsty), I'll look into a definitive reliable source. Rodhullandemu 18:05, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Kristy Wark interviewed Wiki cofounder this year on newsnight; the interview related either to the announcement of new rules regarding the editing of biographcial entries or to the controversy surrounding a false entry claiming the death of Sen Ted Kennedy. Her interview manner was abrupt and rude towards the Wiki cofounder. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.193.97.141 (talk) 23:24, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Lanarkshire
editI am sure that in one of the Radio Times for January 2010, Kirsty says that she was brought up in Lanarkshire.
This could be added to the article. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 21:35, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Start the Week
editIt could be added to this article that Kirsty Wark has been known to present "Start the Week" on BBC Radio Four, as she did on 11 June 2018. Vorbee (talk) 08:24, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
Meaning not clear
editIn 1990, Wark demonstrated her distinctive line of questioning in an interview with Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
- This needs qualifying. What style of questioning are we talking about? Too aggressive? Too oblique? Valetude (talk) 08:07, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
