Kirkley Hall
editKirkley is in Suffolk, yet Kirkley Hall is in Northumberland, explain? Theses no Hall in Kirley I'm aware of ICryOverSpiltMilk (talk) 13:08, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Regeneration? You joke.
edit"Kirkley is part of a major regeneration of the Lowestoft area.[2]"
Quite the reverse, there has been a thundering great main road built through the middle of it in what used to be quiet green open spaces. Plus horrible ugly commercial buildings, one of them voted the worst eyesore in Suffolk, never used and now boarded up. So its true to say its degeneration even though its shiny new degeneration. 80.0.117.222 (talk) 13:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
lol, I agree its change for the sake of change, and what a waste of the tax payers money, couldn't it be better spent on restoring the old structures? That whopping road just gets you to the traffic jams quicker, the only way to stop the gridlock is to built a 3rd crossing in addition to Oulton Broad and Bascule Bridge 79.75.143.1 (talk) 20:41, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
The new bridge is being built. The large road is a bypass. Kirkley remains largely as was designed in Victorian times and retains its Victorian seaside charm. Barberella99 (talk) 20:49, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Article Status
editI have significant concerns about this article.
I have attempted to rewrite it in keeping with the style guidance at WP:UKTOWNS and remove material which is either irrelevant or clear pov. I do think there needs to be more stuff here - South Beach and Claremont etc... almost certainly belong, and there clearly needs to be more on the regeneration - but it needs to be citeable. Oh, and the A12 needs a mention. Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:04, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Football club name
editCan we accept that the club is called Kirkley and Pakefield FC please. This is the name given on the club's website for goodness sake - and the name used in all local media. Your edits are boring and about to go over WP:3RR. This will be reported if it happens again I'm afraid. Blue Square Thing (talk) 21:45, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
