Kottayam (Malabar)Kottayam State — Instead of a dab term one can use a variant name as is done for others in Category:Indian Princely States.--TopoChecker (talk) 04:14, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Where is this Kottayam?

edit

Even when the film Pazhassiraja was shown in some decades back most people in Malabar were under the impression that it was about a king of Kottayam, in South Kerala. They had no idea that this great and famous king was from their own area. In fact, even most people in Tellichery had no idea about this great king who fought with the British. In fact, in Travancore State Manual, there is a reference to a small time ruler of a place called Kottayam in Malabar who ran off to Travancore when the Sultan Tipu's army marched into the Malabar areas. Could this be the same great king that is being referred to in this article?

Is it possible that Wikipedia is a media for the rascal film world to propagate historical stories that they spin out?
