Hello administrators, I'm sorry but I accidentally caused a problem to occur on this page. I was trying to add some information regarding the current geopolitical status of the Kingdom of Hejaz (now part of Saudi Arabia and Jordan) but this resulted in the page's read section looking like its edit section which would probably confuse readers. I'm sorry for any problems I have caused, I just wanted to share some information. Thank you and sorry again, Milesjolly1997 (user) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Milesjolly1997 (talk • contribs) 12:02, 14 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
I would suggest to rephrase this sentence in the introduction, replacing "distruction" with "collapse" or "defeat". Moreover, I would also suggest to replace "British Empire" with "Allies". "It achieved national independence after the destruction of the Ottoman Empire by the British Empire, during World War I, when the Sharif of Mecca fought in alliance with the British Imperial forces to drive the Ottoman Army from the Arabian Peninsula during the Arab Revolt".
