Activism--Hillary remarks

I edited the line at the end of the activism section about the Bernie campaigning "uterus comment" controversy to clarify phrasing that struck me as vague, and also to correct the claim that Killer Mike made the relevant controversial comment about Hillary Clinton himself, as was widely assumed immediately following the controversy arising (one need only see the line as it now stands on this article to recognize the prominence of that misconception), but which is directly refuted within the cited Guardian article. My edit was reverted using a vandalism rapid-reversion tool, and the editor in question contacted me to notify me, but did not explain the action to my satisfaction. I have messaged them to ask for clarification, but I thought it was worth outlining the dispute on the talk page, to allow outside input. I do hope this can be resolved easily and amicably--I admit I'm not particularly accustomed to being rapid-reverted...YarLucebith (talk) 00:44, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

I think the edit that was reverted did help to clarify things somewhat, and wasn't worthy of any wholesale reversion, but maybe some editing to keep the POV as neutral as possible. For context, the following text:

Killer Mike received criticism during his activism for Bernie Sanders for remarks that he made about Hillary Clinton that were perceived as misogynistic.

was changed to:

Killer Mike received criticism during his activism for Bernie Sanders for a quote he cited from American anti-racism and LGBT advocate Jane Elliott relating to Hillary Clinton, which was mistakenly attributed to him online and in the press and criticized as misogynistic.

I can see where placing the "criticized as misogynistic" bit at the end, after a clause using the phrase "mistakenly", could be read by some to imply that he was mistakenly criticized as misogynistic (probably not your intention, but a plausible reading of the sentence). Of course, it could be clear that he was quoting someone else and it would still be valid to criticize him for it, for having chosen and repeated the remark. Might I suggest:

Killer Mike received criticism during his activism for Bernie Sanders for quoting American anti-racism and LGBT advocate Jane Elliott regarding Hillary Clinton, which was criticized as misogynistic and mistakenly attributed as being his original phrasing online and in the press.

A little clunky, could probably be improved, but I think it accurately captures the incident. This quote presumes that the reader knows that KM is part of Purple Ribbon: Killer Mike addressed why he left the Purple Ribbon roster. No word before that or when he joined Purple R.??? Political involvement

Regarding the interview shown on NRATV, claiming that Mike "expressed opposition to the March for Our Lives organised to campaign for stricter gun control laws" seems disingenuous. Killer Mike - Reagan

There needs to be a section on this song, or even expand it into an entire article. It explains what Gary Webb found, that the Ronald Reagan administration looked the other way while terrorists supported by the CIA bring in drugs from central America, creating the drug epidemic in American urban centers.

The song "Reagan" explains how US President Ronald Regan lied to the American public. It also mentions how the Central Intelligence Agency and Oliver North looked the other way when terrorists shipped in narcotics to inner city American cities, causing the Crack epidemic in the United States, as revealed by journalist Gary Webb.
