Sexual Abuse Scandals
editDoes anyone know more about the Glen Sobey sexual harassment lawsuits? I keep hearing about it but no one has the brass balls to air the laundry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.75.224.178 (talk) 01:56, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Jesus, it would take a whole new article. Who has the time? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.244.46.75 (talk) 05:23, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
It wasn't sexual abuse. He had an affair with an employee and created a questionable play for students. Be careful what you write on a school article. Sexual abuse sounds like something totally different. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.188.231.95 (talk) 15:23, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
The Head of School DID NOT have an affair with an employee. The female employee came forward due to his predatorial ways, after only 6 weeks on the job. She was applauded by parents years later. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.14.155.67 (talk) 20:53, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- There was more. The school's attorney leaked a tranche of emails to multiple people. Sobey's sexual fantasies were described in detail. Of course, we schoolchildren laughed it up at the time.
- In addition, a daughter of his had an affair with a teacher. It wasn't subtle, everyone near knew about it. But it was a different time where these things weren't called out.
- Sources? None but being there. 66.69.53.1 (talk) 20:37, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
Photos
editCan somebody take some photos and/or find non-copyrighted pics to post on here? It's pretty bare.
The school is tiny. I'm surprised it has such an elaborate entry at all. So I'm not sure photos would be in order. MRig 20:54, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- The size of the subject matter (or, for that matter, your opinion of its significance) is not necessarily the determining criterium for the presence of pictures. Photos would certainly improve the quality of the article, so they are by all means "in order."
- Oh, I certainly don't think it's insignificant personally (I go there). I got the impression, though, that Wikipedia has a policy regulating photo use, as most articles don't have photos. It's a very strong school, but also an extremely small one, which is why I figured that there shouldn't be any photos. Do you know if a policy applies here? MRig 03:38, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- The policy isn't about having a photo. The policy is against having a photo without a proper license. It's generally recommended that you do have at least one good photo/diagram/etc in an article. A single photo released for any use would be beneficial. - Debuskjt 05:20, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Summer Glau
editAnyone know the status of Summer Glau and the school? I think she went there, but I might be confusing her with her sister Caitlin. MRig 03:51, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Summer Glau did not attend. Her two younger sisters (Christie '01 and Caitlin '04?) did. Dakinyx 23:48, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- To split hairs, I thought she did attend for a year or two but didn't graduate there. 66.69.53.1 (talk) 20:38, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
