There is also a modern writer named kathleen norris
I've edited out the line "She has been called the Danielle Steele of her generation". Looking into it, I see that the editor who inserted this line gives his own article as citation, an article in which he writes "Kathleen Norris, the Danielle Steele of her generation...". However no one has referred to Kathleen Norris this way except the person who inserted that edit, himself, and pointed to his own online magazine article as evidence that "she has been called" this.
Mrs. Norris was indeed a popular and very successful writer, but obituaries and literary biographies refer to her style as having been compared to Henry James. See these links for details:

Incorrect Spouse
editKathleen Morris cannot have married Frank Norris in 1909, as he died in 1902. She actually married his younger borther Charles Gilman Norris. 2A00:23C4:4202:1301:8D59:FBE6:81BD:7084 (talk) 23:22, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
