There needs to be clarification of boundary changes and name changes. The change from Kamloops, Thompson and Highland Valleys to Kamloops—Thompson was small (15% change) (it lost 2000 people to Okanagan—Coquihalla and gained 16000 from Cariboo—Chilcotin&Prince George—Bulkley Valley). And then the name change to Kamloops—Thompson—Cariboo just makes it confusing. Is there a criteria Elections Canada uses when deciding to change names? I listed the Kamloops, Thompson and Highland Valleys results here because I believe them to be comparable to the 2004 results. If someone wants to move them, then please find a way to indicate that the 2000 results can be found at the other page (I just don't think the History section is cutting it). maclean25 30 June 2005 05:22 (UTC)
