Wildfires?

edit

According to this page, this article should be written in British English. But isn't 'wildfire' (←see hatnote) an Americanism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.171.41.69 (talk) 19:04, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not sure whether it is non-British English - but it has a more generic meaning than the more specific "forest fire" that is relevant here, and which is what most RS are using Davidships (talk) 20:12, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
That's fine as long as the sources are British. The BBC seems to be calling it a forest fire.--192.171.41.69 (talk) 12:40, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Usual crapola "reactions" section

edit

Could it be trimmed down to those countries that are actually offering firefighting aid? Every politician in the world salivates at an opportunity to express condolences. Wikipedia should not give sickening, self-serving politician scum a place to promote themselves. Abductive (reasoning) 19:32, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
