Merger (2007) Laws and Judicial system are not the same
edit- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
The laws is a body of directives from the legislature to the people. The Judiciary has to do with Courts, Judges, implementation of the laws. i.e. not same. Recirprocal ref suff.
- Oppose merger. Hardly the same objects. Do you want to merge Supreme Court of the USA with US law or court of Session with Parliament? Good grief. Hadrianheugh 03:24, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose merger - the topics are distinct components of the legal system (and there are others). The Transhumanist 22:03, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Judicial system of Israel → Judiciary of Israel – reason Standardizing the name of main articles in Category:Judiciaries. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:12, 26 April 2016 (UTC) relisted --Mike Cline (talk) 13:46, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose ambiguous naming wikt:judiciary means the body of judges. While "judicial system" clearly refers to the judicial system and not the body of judges -- 70.51.46.195 (talk) 12:03, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support: its actually a rather logical move. "Judiciary" means the entire system, not just judges. Its more succinct and can be made uniform across other nation's judiciary pages. DaltonCastle (talk) 23:09, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Religious Courts section needs references
editOnly one reference is cited, a tangential discussion of Jewish religious courts. None of the other courts discussed have any citations. The ref in the intro to the article does mention the religious courts, but not to the extent this section lists. Additional, in Christian Courts, "Evangelical Episcopalian" is mentioned, linking to Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East, but the Israeli government site (intro ref) mentions the "Presbyterian Evangelical Church".
