Article name
editJust to explain: This Josiah was actually Josiah, Jr. but generally didn't use the suffix. His father wasn't specially notable. To confuse things further, his son was also Josiah and was noteworthty (he has a good article). I placed this page here to disambiguate with the son's pre-existing article with a lot of navy links.
Cotton Introduced into Georgia
editHe is credited with having introduced cotton into Georgia, having brought seed from the Bahamas Islands and encouraged its cultivation "along the coast of that state". See Lamb's Textile Industry of the United States, Volume I. The book was published by James H. Lamb & Co, Boston Mass, 1911. Incorrect picture of this Tattnall
editThe picture with this Tattnall (Jr.) is the same as the one with Tattnall III and is clearly that of a naval person, which this Tattnall was not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drwdjones (talk • contribs) 13:40, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
