Spelling of surname
editI have restored all surname spellings to "Hassebroek" rather than "Hassebroeck" as they had been changed to. The editor who made the change correctly points out that Tom Segev uses the c spelling but a quick search of Google Books indicates a greater preponderance of sources without the c than with. Only one source using the c is in German compared to about 40 without whilst the German Wikipedia also leaves the c out. Johannes Hassebroeck exists as a redirect for those who include the c however.
