World War I

The whole section does not provide a single source. There are several reliable, modern english language sources describing Bernstorff in an extremely different (and much more neutral) way. The section needs a major rewriting. HerkusMonte (talk) 13:54, 19 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes I agree. Entente agents in the U.S. were surely bent on painting Count Bernstorff in the worst possible light, so the statements about him being an agent need to be solidly confirmed.—RJH (talk) 18:59, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Amabassador to Ottoman Empire

edit

Is this not the same Bernstorff who was the ambassador to the Porte 1916-17? How can that be missing from this article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.77.162.40 (talk) 16:39, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Biography

edit

There is an important book written by Reinhard R. Doerries called Imperial challenge: Ambassador Count Bernstorff and German-American relations, 1908-1917, published in 1989 by University of North Carolina Press. This is a standard and should be used for the basic facts of this article.83.111.212.208 (talk) 01:26, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
