editPeople who knew Joe at Multics and at Bell Labs are available as sources for further information. Perhaps one of them could be enticed into collaborating on publishing a biography? Perhaps this has already happened. Where is it? The online material I've found in a brief search is contradictory, incomplete or ancient. Some of it relies entirely on the current Wikipedia article.
