Currently the lead section currently reads "Jim Mansfield Jnr is a son of Jim Mansfield, a businessman and a convicted criminal." The lead section of a biography is meant to be a summary of a person's life and set out what is most notable about the subject. However, notability is not inherited, it requires verifiable evidence. Jim Mansfield Jnr cannot rely on his father being a notable businessman, but needs to be notable in his own right. This means the lead section should be reworded to read something like "Jim Mansfield Jnr is an Irish a businessman who was convicted in January 2022 of attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to the 9 June 2015 kidnapping of Martin Byrne." The fact "He is a son of Jim Mansfield, an Irish property developer and millionaire." is probably not even worth stating in the lead. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 10:14, 8 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
