editdid they really date? she's been with her man since she was 19...Amo 12:11, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Picture
editCan we get a better picture of her? One where she is smiling? I'll try to get one from Spaced but I dont know how so it might take a while. --ISeeDeadPixels 19:02, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Re-naming?
editShouldn't this article now be re-named, now that she has changed her name professionally and intends to stay that way throughout the rest of her career? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tom Wake (talk • contribs) 12:15, May 26, 2007 (UTC)
- I think she should have stuck with Stevenson - a much sunnier name - bright and open like her smile.Hynes is like a tin of beans. JenAW 17:46, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone know why she changed her name to Hynes? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.157.113.9 (talk • contribs) 21:54, July 31, 2007 (UTC)
- Well, according to the source linked to in the article, she said, "Adam and I have been together a long time - I first met him when I was 18 - but we haven't always been married. Now we are and I really felt I wanted to change my name." Anything more than that would be guesswork. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 22:33, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Beetroot
editI am still feeling the shame and embarrassment of her appearance on Who Wants To Show Themselves Off To The Nation As A Pratt. I know it was for charity and perhaps she felt the need to be a 'funny lady' but ----- And we do all want the people we love to have dignity, don't we? JenAW 14:10, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Why, what did she do? —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 14:22, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Managed to lose stuff
editHi, I just added some info about the upcoming show "Phoo Action", but seem to have lost half the article by doing so. I'm working on fixing it, but it appears to be beyond me. Will keep at it, but thanks in advance if anyone can make it better. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scott.lyon (talk • contribs) 18:13, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
First name, place of birth, marriage and children
editIf anyone has a firm date and place of birth for Jess, please put it in. I'm following the Spaced press pack quoted at Spaced Out in saying Lewisham, 1972. IMDb says Brighton, 1973. Nothing else on the web has any firm info at all. --rbrwr
Anyone got a reference for her children? Is she married? who to?
I've added the necessary information for this. IMDb now states she was born in Lewisham. findmypast.com gives free unlimited access to all births and deaths registered in England and Wales from 1984-2006, and marriages from 1984-2005. It proves the following: her first name is Tallulah (Jessica is one of her middle names). She has been married to Adam Hynes since 2002 (but she only began using her married surname much more recently). I added her children's names and the boroughs they were born in. Jessica Hynes → Jessica Stevenson — Someone told me that she is better known under her maiden name. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:30, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
- Fully 50% of the current reliable sources use "Stevenson" and two of the others have to refer to it to provide context (one almost exclusively): that accounts for the majority of the article's sources. Her most notable role to date was under her maiden name. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 00:47, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- See my comments as User talk:Thumperward#Re: Womack/Hynes. In the past she was better known as Stevenson, becuase it was her name. Now Hynes is the only surname used both professionally and personally. U-Mos (talk) 00:55, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- Support As the article from the Guardian says, she is "The woman formerly known as Jessica Stevenson". Septentrionalis PMAnderson 09:44, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose: She is now known personally and professionally by her married name. A redirect is place from her maiden name, so no search issues arise. – ukexpat (talk) 15:41, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose As Pmanderson quotes, she is "The woman formerly known as Jessica Stevenson". Jan1naD (talk • contrib) 15:58, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- The question is what she is better known as, not what she is currently known as. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 16:33, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- For the millionth time, the question is what she is currently better known as. Which is Hynes. U-Mos (talk) 17:21, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- From the BBC: "Comedy writer and actress Jessica Hynes on the perils of the driving test." [1]; "Libby Purves is joined by Jessica Hynes, Mary Moore, Christopher Biggins and James Caan."[2]. Jan1naD (talk • contrib) 17:23, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- I believe the BBC has a policy of using current name. As I said in my initial comment, presently the article's references are split roughly equally, with two of the "Hynes" users explicitly having to invoke her maiden name due to the implied greater familiarity. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 19:03, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- "Implied familiarity"... you're really hanging by a thread here now. The BBC using Hynes helps make it more common, no matter their reasons. U-Mos (talk) 19:15, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

DOB
editTwo different ones in article. Spicemix (talk) 00:27, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- I think its 30 Oct 1972. This diff [3] by User:JessicaElinaHynes looks very much like it was by Jessica herself. I suspect she knows when she's born. --Salix (talk): 19:29, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
