The result of the move request was: not moved. While Spanish naming rules suggest that the proper surname is Lopez, there are no sources provided that support this. Once there are more sources added to this article a better determination can be made. (non-admin closure) Bradv 01:17, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
Jesús López Sanchez → Jesús López (weightlifter) – Similar to other Spanish names, only name and surname with (weightlifter) for disambiguation. Mohsen1248 (talk) 14:13, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). — Amakuru (talk) 14:22, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
- Comment - I'm not sure about this one. Some more evidence that this the standard treatment of Spanish names is needed; also the present title is a better fit for WP:NATURALDIS. I'm neutral on this one, but it's probably better to discuss it. — Amakuru (talk) 14:22, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
- If it's not moved, shouldn't the title be Jesús López Sánchez? — AjaxSmack 02:39, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. Although, as of this writing, the sole inline cite [appended to the article] indicates the full name "LOPEZ SANCHEZ Jesus Antonio", that fact has to be taken into consideration alongside all other entries at such categories as Category:Venezuelan male weightlifters or Category:Olympic weightlifters of Venezuela in which his name is the only one indicated in such full form within his article's main title header (the other Venezuelans have their full names specified in their respective lead sentences, but not in the main headers). —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 00:53, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose - I don't think I need to find sources using either title. The whole article is a stub, and changing the title is too soon when the article is in a stub state. Until the article is expanded, the present title shall be retained. Of course, this RM shall not prevent anyone from renaming the title without discussion if the article is expanded into something bigger than now. George Ho (talk) 22:35, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
