Jennifer Joanna Aniston (born February 11, 1969) is a Greek American actress as her father is a Greek from Crete. So she is a Greek American. Papxr (talk) 18:08, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

In most other pages, people are described by the ethnicities of both parents, but in the case of Jennifer Aniston, some maniacs here are very anti-Greek biased. The worst is that I have seen the same issue being repeated in articles for other popular Greek American people such as Arrianna Huffington who was born in Greece but she was again was identified as American rather than Greek American... I am gonna raise this issue to Wikia moderators and ask for their attention, as the requests for reliable sources about something that is proven and a fact, makes me sick. Do we need reliable sources to prove that the US Senator, Olympia Snowe, is a Greek American?--85.75.131.143 (talk) 19:06, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, our Manual of Style would prohibit referring to her as a Greek-American in the lead unless you could demonstrate that her notability has been impacted by being Greek. I think it would be very hard to demonstrate that.—Kww(talk) 19:26, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- OK, Let me understand. Jennifer Aniston's mother was partially Greek. Her father was purely Greek. Jennifer Aniston herself also lived for a LONG time in Greece as a child - she even went to Greek school for a year, as confirmed by her father, before they leave Greece for New York. She still remembers some Greek words to this day, and the Wikipedia declares(!) her as an American(!) who despite living in her home country, Greece for a time, is still not Greek(!)? What nonsence is this? You make me feel like I have to drag Jennifer right here in Wikipedia to prove by herself what it is so obvious and proven already by numerous other facts. Who can have Greek Parents, have Greek last name (The Greek Anastasakis -> americanized into Aniston), go to Greek school, live in Greece, have Greek relatives in her family, but to be not a Greek herself? What a ridicule! --85.75.131.143 (talk) 02:09, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
- And please if can someone update Jennifer Aniston's "American" identity to the proper "Greek American". Thanks--85.75.131.143 (talk) 02:20, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Producer
The opening line says "Jennifer Joanna Aniston (born February 11, 1969) is an American actress, film director, and producer." So why do people not want to categorize her as an American film producer?John Pack Lambert (talk) 19:10, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Because, as clearly indicated in the latest edit summary removing the category, American film producers is a parent category of a more specific category in which she is already included. Fat&Happy (talk) 19:17, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Filmography
Jennifer Aniston's first film is the 1988 film "Mac and Me" even though her part is uncredited I think it would be a good fact for the readers to know.

The editors at Mens Health listed her 1st in Hottest of all time in their guide, not the readers.
"Funny is sexy, and Jennifer Aniston is funny—she was invited to join 'Saturday Night Live' before her big break with 'Friends.' Her down-to-earth persona makes her seem attainable, and anyone who's seen her in 'Office Space' has to admit she makes even pieces of flair look good. She rarely plays the airhead, and she seldom overplays a role: she's funny in a quiet, refreshingly human way. And her all-too-human love life off-screen inspires sympathy that not even a string of bland romantic comedies can diminish. Other sex symbols drift toward one-dimensionality, becoming flat icons in the process, but throughout her career Aniston has remained sexy, funny, and unmistakably real. For that reason, she is our all-time sexiest woman.
That's what we said about Aniston in our guide to the 100 Sexiest Women of All-Time. And yes, we know dem's fightin' words. How could we be so brazen as to not begin and end the conversation with Marilyn Monroe? Or Angelina Jolie? Or Mila Kunis? Or... well, you get the idea. See for yourself—and re-rank the women on your own to let us know where you think Aniston—and 99 other all-time hotties—rightly belong."
Using this second link, it shows the beginning of the list with the editors words "Maybe our tally of the most beautiful women of all-time isn't entirely objective. Technically, we've only included women who've been photographed. So Helen of Troy is out. But that still leaves plenty of women-some you suggested (hello, Mila Kunis), others we discovered on our own (so nice to see you, June Wilkinson). Judge for yourself. Take a look at our Hottest Women of All Time".
This show that their was no poll, that the editors put together a list themselves.
-Micho — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michocoop (talk • contribs) 04:04, 1 April 2014 (UTC) Agreed. Also in Hollywood.com "Men's Health just gave Jennifer Aniston the number one spot in its list of the 100 Hottest Women of All Time. Initially, it seems somewhat shocking the publication chose her over someone like Mila Kunis, Angelina Jolie or even Scarlett Johansson (who one could argue are all more attractive or striking than Aniston). But it turns out, the mag reached its decision by evaluating women on more than just their appearances. The article explains how Aniston was determined to be a worthy recipient of the title of Hottest Woman of All Time, and wrote about her as having a "down-to-earth persona [that] makes her seem attainable, and anyone who’s seen her in Office Space has to admit she makes even pieces of flair look good." The article continues its praise, saying Aniston "rarely plays the airhead, and she seldom overplays a role: she’s funny in a quiet, refreshingly human way. And her all-too-human love life off-screen inspires sympathy that not even a string of bland romantic comedies can diminish. Other sex symbols drift toward one-dimensionality, becoming flat icons in the process, but throughout her career Aniston has remained sexy, funny, and unmistakably real. For that reason, she is our all-time sexiest woman.'" and "What's interesting about the list is that readers can vote on how accurate the rankings are in one of two ways: you can either vote for a woman be further down on the list (meaning you think she's hotter than Men's Health determined her to be), or you can vote that a woman be put up higher on the list (meaning you think she's less hot than Men's Health thinks she is). As far as I'm concerned, this is a little distasteful -- especially when the magazine took such extensive time explaining how Jennifer Aniston's talent is what makes her hot, rather than her appearance."
So the editors picked Aniston and readers could agree or disagree but it would not change the first spot the editors gave her, just showed if others agreed or not online for giggles I guess.[3] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michellecoop (talk • contribs) 03:31, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

- Do you mean an Orthodox Catholic or an Orthodox Jew? Perhaps she doesn't consider herself either one. Rissa, copy editor (talk) 02:50, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
Wanderlust & Wonderland
"...Aniston appeared in Wanderlust with Paul Rudd,[53] with whom she co-starred in the 1998 movie The Object of My Affection and also Friends.[54] The script for Wonderland, bought by Universal Pictures..."
Are "Wanderlust" and "Wonderland" the same thing? If not, then the latter needs to be expanded. Rissa, copy editor (talk) 02:44, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
Genres in the lead are informative
Hi, I proposed adding the genres to the lead. What do others think of this? See below:OnBeyondZebrax • TALK 17:24, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
Aniston has played the female protagonist in a number of comedies and romantic comedy films. Her box office hits include the comedy Bruce Almighty (2003), the romantic comedy The Break-Up (2006), the comedy-drama film Marley & Me (2008), the romantic comedy film Just Go with It (2011), the black comedy Horrible Bosses (2011) and the comedy We're the Millers (2013), all of which have grossed over $200 million in worldwide receipts.[4] Her most critically acclaimed roles were in the black comedy The Good Girl (2002), for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead, and the drama Cake (2014), for which she received Best Actress nominations at the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award ceremonies. Her other notable films include the romantic comedy film Along Came Polly (2004) and the romantic comedy-drama He's Just Not That Into You (2009). She is the co-founder, in 2008, of the production company Echo Films.
