Jason Schmidt (photographer) → Jason Schmidt (Photographer and Director) – More descriptive disambiguator, he has done professional work as both a photographer and director. CLMUS100 (talk) 17:22, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose since the disambiguator is overly-WP:PRECISE and capitalizes non-proper nouns. Steel1943 (talk) 18:25, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose as non-proper nouns are not capitalized in article titles (or section titles). But even Jason Schmidt (photographer and director) wouldn't be acceptable, as Schmidt is known far more for his significant work as a photographer. His directing work, by contrast, might not even merit an article if he were not already known as a photographer. And for article titles Wikipedia prefers the shortest title that reasonably distinguishes the subject from similar subjects. If at some point in the future Schmidt were to become better-known for his directing than his photography... then the title might be changed to Jason Schmidt (director). Still not "(photographer and director)". —GrammarFascist contribstalk 15:07, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
