"In June 2000 Matthews left Nordic and founded "Eden Rock Securities" and other companies within the Eden Rock group, named after one of the most exclusive hotels in the world (owned his parents in St Barths, an Caribbean holiday island for the super-rich) and based in Mayfair.[1] In December 2001 Matthews launched his own tax avoiding hedge fund "Eden Rock Capital Management LLP" with Edward Horner and Santo Volpe, who had worked together for a number of years prior to establishing the firm. The hedge fund achieved success as a fund which invested in other hedge funds. By 2004, the firm looked after £131 million-worth of investments, 2007, the figure had risen to £1.1 billion. The hedge fund has an office in Bermuda and runs a network of overseas subsidiaries, many of them in secretive tax havens. The subsidiary "Solid Rock Management" is registered in the British Virgin Islands. Another source of its revenues is a firm that provides "management services" in the Cayman Islands. A complex corporate structure renders the company’s operations relatively opaque, where the investment money comes from, or how Eden Rock operates, is impossible to unpick. Eden Rock Capital Management LLP has been linked to string of financial scandals."[2] --87.159.119.171 (talk) 02:09, 16 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Article content considered to be "negative" by one individual is not grounds for removal, particularly as it has citations. Justify the removal under wikipedia policy or the removal will end up being reverted. 1812ahill (talk) 05:02, 20 May 2017 (UTC) 1812ahill (talk) 05:02, 20 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
