He's a notable wrestler!
editHe's been on WWE TV a lot in recent weeks, portraying a jobber (or wrestler who normally loses) in a feud involving AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose. This resulted in him getting a lot of mentioning on social media as well.PeterMan844 (talk) 03:54, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
Who? Mnikzo (talk) 15:52, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
Wouldn't say he's notable yet. He's only been on TV a few months. Give him time. Also he is the greatest wrestler of all time, ALL TIME! Had to say that. AntonFMD (talk) 10:39, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
Requested move 3 November 2016
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: No move. We have a consensus against treating the wrestler as WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Cúchullain t/c 14:49, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
James Ellsworth (wrestler) → James Ellsworth – Originally linked to Lincoln Ellsworth but what's the sense of linking his parent's name to that article? Advised to move it there unless if there are other 'James Ellsworth' in this article aside from the rising WWE star and Lincoln Ellsworth's father. j3j3j3m0n 19:35, 3 November 2016 (UTC) --Relisting. - Support per nom. JTP (talk • contribs) 19:50, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hold on @3oWh pF0wHz: you said in the nom "unless there are other James Ellsworths", yes there are - the zoologist is a partial name match and should be a "see also" on the dab page. @NotTheFakeJTP: it's clear that James Ellsworth (industrialist) is partly remembered for his son the explorer, but even without that there are more references to him in books for other things, such as founding Ellsworth, Pennsylvania. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:21, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- I've turned James Ellsworth into a dab, it should be moved out to (disambiguation) if the wrestler passes both halves of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC In ictu oculi (talk) 09:24, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- Heck no. If there's a primary topic, it's James Ellsworth (industrialist) and founder of Ellsworth, Pennsylvania. Long-term significance. – wbm1058 (talk) 03:15, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- How is it a primary topic if it is a WP:STUB and gets minimal daily page views while James Ellsworth (wrestler) gets 5000-15000 daily page views? JTP (talk • contribs) 00:05, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
- Do not support Leave it as status quo. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 02:22, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- Do not support as there are now at least more then 1 or 2 persons with the same name it's better and easier to keep the significant pointer between the brackets, this also for future persons with the same names, if for example there will be a tennisplayer or any other well known person with the same name, it's always better to place his/her occupation or subject in between brackets so people who search for that person know who or what to look for faster. I even prefer his birthname, then you even don't have this problem, I see way to often that people place the asumed artist name and or (in this case) an in ring wrestling name, but we to often see with wrestlers, that they change ringnames, for that reason alone i really prefer then there birthname, so you won't even have to change there name titles every time they change there artist/ringnames. Ricodol74 ? 23:03, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
- Do not support Like others have pointed out, there's already a more famous James Ellsworth. The guy in WWE was just an indie wrestler before he got time on TV in recent months.PeterMan844 (talk) 13:46, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

Big Hog
editHe was called "Big Hog" at least once. But it doesn't need to be in bold if he is not being called that. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 11:09, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
New Wikapedia Picture for James Ellsworth
editCan we get better picture of him standing and facing the cam??
- unfortunately that's the best available picture. RF23 (talk) 14:29, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
- I personally think it's kinda funny that a jobber like Ellsworth has an official Wikipedia picture of him lying down on the mat, staring up at the lights. ekedolphin (talk) 05:50, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
BLP issues, re: allegations
editPosting here in advance of removing the section on the sexual harassment allegations as UNDUE and BLP violations. I'd like to lay out up front what is verifiable:
- An anonymous user on Twitter accused Ellsworth of sending her explicit photos of himself. She published the alleged photos, but they do not have Ellsworth's face in them.
- Ellsworth denied everything.
- Ellsworth's lost job opportunities.
- Accuser has made statements interpreted as having no intention of reporting Ellsworth to the police, but only of taking other, unspecified legal action.
- Accuser has been suspended from Twitter. (Haven't found this mentioned in an RS, it's just a fact you can check yourself.)
This whole year we've heard basically nothing. So... an anonymous complaint was made, no reliable sources I'm aware of actually backed the accusations, the end. I think the BLP compliant approaches here are to either leave it out entirely, or in recognition of the fact that the allegations had an effect on his career, instead have a section that briefly mentions that allegations were made, and then go into his Ellsworth's response and effect on his career.

- I say it should stay out. The more reliable sources that cover pro wrestling (WP:PW/RS) never touched this story. The previous version used WrestleView, which is okay for uncontroversial claims, but we need top notch sources for this.LM2000 (talk) 05:26, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
- Agreed with LM2000. Prefall 09:20, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
GTS/Grims Toy Show
editSeems very odd that GTS gets a lot of coverage in this article, and a couple of mentions for titleholders in other articles (such as Brian Myers/Curt Hawkins), but has no article in its own right. Save for a dreadful wiki and a Twitter feed, there is little about GTS on the web. Any ideas? BillhomEls (talk) 20:57, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
James Ellsworth apparently lost the intergender belt in 2019
editTitle: Watch James Ellsworth Get Beaten To A Bloody Pulp Before Losing Intergender Title (ringsidenews.com) https://www.ringsidenews.com/2019/07/28/watch-james-ellsworth-get-beaten-to-a-bloody-pulp-before-losing-intergender-title/ As of this match, someone named Priscilla Kelly (now known as Gigi Dolin!) won this belt. (See Gigi Dolin on wikipedia for confirmation of this yet to be cross referenced event.) I don't know who has this belt or if it was retired.... 2604:2000:6FC0:101:A9CD:C17D:B06D:5333 (talk) 08:48, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
