Wrong Title
editAs the JDF is the Jamaica Defence Force not the Jamaican Defence Force perhaps we should move this article to the correct title ? MilborneOne 19:19, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes. I have moved the article to 'Jamaica Defence Force'. Lordvaluemart 23:57, 05 November 2006 (UTC)

Combat aircraft
editAre there any fighter/bomber jets in the JDF? It seems odd that a country like Jamaica would not have a form of fighter, bomber, or fighter/bomber aircraft. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.205.70.254 (talk) 09:02, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- No, and to my knowledge they never have. They don't operate any jet aircraft of any kind, though there are turbine-powered aircraft (turboprops and helicopters) in service. As to why not, I can guess several related reasons, but I really don't know. - BillCJ (talk) 09:14, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- DA42 ng can be fit with certain kinds of gpmg.

Ferret scout vehicle?
editI found some references pointing to the fact that the Jamaican military uses the Ferret. However most sources don't mention this. Therefore I didn't add it to the equipment table. Could anyone confirm this? (Wilhelm Klave (talk) 13:42, 3 September 2009
They stop using them Many years ago (UTC))
Edit request from LilyRichman, 8 September 2011
edit{{edit semi-protected}} I have noticed that the Commander-in-Chief of the Jamaican Defence Force has been left out and I wanted to suggest that it be added within the Leadership. The present Commander-in-Chief of the Jamaican Defence Force is Queen Elizabeth II with Governor-General Patrick Allen as her representative.

Defence force flag
edit@Skjoldbro: and @FOX 52: I've uploaded and added the new JDF flag based off of photos at the following links [3], [4] -I have provided citations for the old flag. Cdjp1 (talk) 15:03, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Cdjp1: The image(s) you provided are unfortunately not a reliable source, further you've created flags that may lack accuracy, as the photos can't show proper dimensions / or there intended use. - FOX 52 (talk) 19:10, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
- @FOX 52: are photos published on the JDF official website reliable enough? [5] - Cdjp1 (talk) 23:03, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Cdjp1: - No you need to find something that is specific to the JDF official flag - those images still don't provide any accurate detail on the dimensions / or it's use. - FOX 52 (talk) 02:30, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

The reference "JDF-Aircraft" is no longer in use but still appears in the reflist, causing a cite error.
The reference should be commented out or removed.
