"Personal Knowledge" edits by 172.186.127.72
editHi 172.186.127.72. I've heavily edited your edits to Jackie Forster, because you didn't provide any citation for them. "Personal knowledge" is not an acceptable citation. (See Citing sources, No original research, Verifiability, and Verifiability for why this is so.)
Is there any source that might be available that would back up your personal knowledge? Yonmei 03:37, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Sappho
editWhile I agree that the Sappho publication is an important part of Lesbian history I disagree with the statement 'the UK's longest-running lesbian publication'. Diva has been running for much longer and Arena Three was also published for 9 years....So Added Sappho as being 'one of' the longest running...
Introduction
editI have just learned about Jackie Forster today, thanks to Google (!) It's a good and informative article, but I wonder why her husband takes up such a prominent place in the article - right up front as though this marriage defined her, though it lasted only four years. I would rather see more content about her and his prominence a bit farther down. Sorry if this is in any way a misuse of this talk page - I only just got on Wikipedia today, so I'm not sure how to do it! Cskfeminist (talk) 07:59, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- You're not misusing the talk page as long as you're offering constructive criticism of the article. As far as I can see, after several edits in the interim, her husband is now mentioned twice: in one sentence in the body of the article and also in the infobox.
