References to the novel
editShould this be disambiguated against Stephen King's It? Two of the links to this page seem to be referencing that. --Brion
- It's one of my favorite books, so I will try to write more on the Stephen King joint later and will disambiguate it then. If you really wanna do it now, I certainly won't stop you from doing the work for me, but you don't need to. Tokerboy 01:50 Nov 22, 2002 (UTC)
Unsearchable title
editIs it not better to avoid a title for which you can not search? if you search for 'ít' you get:
Badly formed search query We could not process your query. This is probably because you have attempted to search for a word fewer than three letters long, which is not yet supported.
'It (movie)' is better, but not very good (too many hits when searching).
Or will the search function be improved soon? Patrick 04:08 Nov 22, 2002 (UTC)
- you can use the "go" button to find these pages... Martin
IT file format
editAnybody going to write something about the Impulse_Tracker#IT_file_format used to store music data in? 84.41.190.238 (talk | Contrib) 18:49, 19 June 2005
- Belated, for those who may still be curious, I linked your question. WurmWoodeT 07:58, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
I love "it." In part because, poetically, "Iloveit." But from a "logical point of view," as a philosopher, I think of it ([pun] intended) in the ways that only Charles Peirce, came closest to.
- I hope to get back to this article later,
with some contributions.
Stupid bots
editBots keep telling me that I am vandalising the page, It (disambiguation) by redirecting the page here. They are both the same page! 71.109.186.47 03:24, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
IT
editWHAT IS IT. WHAT TYPE OF JOB WE GET IF WE STUDY ABOUT IT. BFORE STUDYING IT IS THERE ANY OTHER COURSE WHICH WE HAVE TO STUDY. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.96.22.4 (talk) 06:52, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Information technology (also referred to as IT) is the application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data, often in the context of a business or other enterprise. The term is commonly used as a synonym for computers and computer networks, but it also encompasses other information distribution technologies such as television and telephones Several industries are associated with information technology, such as computer hardware, software, electronics, semiconductors, internet, telecom equipment, e-commerce and computer services.
- In the business context, the Information Technology Association of America has defined information technology (IT) as "the study, design, development, application, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems". The business value of information technology is to automate business processes, provide information for decision making, connect business with their customers, and provide productivity tools to increase efficiency. In an academic context, the Association for Computing Machinery defines it as "undergraduate degree programs that prepare students to meet the computer technology needs of business, government, healthcare, schools, and other kinds of organizations ... IT specialists assume responsibility for selecting hardware and software products appropriate for an organization, integrating those products with organizational needs and infrastructure, and installing, customizing, and maintaining those applications for the organization’s computer users. Examples of these responsibilities include the installation of networks; network administration and security; the design of web pages; the development of multimedia resources; the installation of communication components; the oversight of email systems; and the planning and management of the technology life cycle by which an organization’s technology is maintained, upgraded, and replaced." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hisham hayder (talk • contribs) 15:38, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
