"law book"

The IDF and the Shin Bet seized an intelligence treasure of Hamas in the form of mountains of documents, files and computers. Among other things, competency tables, equipment lists, classified maps and instructions on what to do if captured were found.

Biased Reporting, Biased Sources, Purposeful omission of information

This article is written from a biased point of view. It uses sources which have been discredited, or required retractions or corrections. This is supposed to report the facts of the situation, not propagate propaganda. There is also a complete lack of information on anything explaining the instigation of this situation (October 7th massacre). Moreover, there is a distinct lack of information discussing the proven discreditation of false information disseminated by Hamas and reported in media and by the UN. Please consider relying on sources which do not confirm the authors'/editors' inherent biases. Please take the time to report the facts instead of pushing an agenda. What exactly would you suggest to change in the article? Alaexis¿question? 21:33, 13 August 2024 (UTC)

The IDF's casualty number

The casualty number (given by the "yediot ahronot" newspaper) quotted by the aricle, stems from a misled interpretation of the information given by the source, as, The given casualty figure, refers to every IDF soldier that has been treated following the war, with soldiers who suffer from psycholohical damage also being included in the account. In wikipedia, casualties belonging to this category, are rarely included in the casualty count, with generally almost no emphasis given for the mental consequences of military conflicts in typical articles about military engagements. Additionally, the article refers to the IDF's number casualty throughout the entire war, in all of the fronts combined. A figure which is most likely, signifcantly higher than the number of the IDF's casualties in gaza alone. On top of that, the article does not dispute the official number of casualties published by the IDF (if it did, the article's main emphasis would be entirely different, that it would provide a clarity regarding this essential claim, as, such a claim is significant enough, in order for it to inevtiably be highlighted and extensively elaborated in addtional articles made by the news agency, which is not the case), as the casualty figures given by the article, rely on a broader definition of the term "casualty", hence, not cotradicting the IDF's claims. Therefore, the misled, or intentional misinterpretation of the article's main conclusion, is an unobjective attempt to inflate the IDF's casualty number. This should be removed. טוראי פייל (talk) 20:22, 14 August 2024 (UTC)

Recently, an interesting report was published by the oldest defense research institute in Britain examining the IDF's warfare tactics inside Gaza in the northern part of the Strip, north of the netzarim axis.

Some CHANGES needed to death/casualties / NUMBER of fighters On Hamas side.

Because they are enthusiastic young people, it gives them motivation. update the death toll

Why is the most recent number of killed a figure from May? AntiBiasBoy (talk) 09:41, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

Killed senior commanders

I don't think a majorsl in the idf qualifies as "senior commanders". This whole section should deleted and information on commanders and leaders needs to be presented in the same manner as in the main Israel hamas war article . 2A13:54C1:F000:16FD:6549:9F37:844A:7B4A (talk) 22:19, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

Islam Hijazi

Islam Hijazi, the director of the Heal Palestine association providing medical support and humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, was murdered by Hamas members near Sade Hospital in Khan Yunis. Why: she did not transfer donation funds.

  • What I think should be changed (format using {{textdiff}}):

I think that we should remove some of units listed under the Israeli side and keep only:

  Israel Defense Forces

  • Why it should be changed:

There are 4 different changes in here:

1. Currently, there are many duplications. For example, the 'Egoz Unit,' '89th Brigade,' and '98th Division' are all listed separately from each other, giving the impression that they are fully separate units, even though the 'Egoz Unit' is part of the '89th Brigade,' which is part of the '98th Division.' Most of the removed units are due to these kinds of duplications.

2. There isn't any unit called "39th Division".

3. "Israeli Combat Engineering Corps" are corps not a unit (each engineering unit is under some other unit).

4. Placing the different divisions under 'Israeli Ground Forces' is intended to make the hierarchy clearer.

  • References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button):

"1st brigade" and "7th Armored Brigade" are part of 36th Division.

"933rd Brigade", "401st Brigade", "84th Brigade", "5th Brigade" and "215th Artillery Brigade" are part of 162nd Division.

"35th Brigade", "89th brigade", "Duvdevan Unit", "Maglan unit", and "Egoz unit" are part of 98th Division.

"261st Reserve Brigade" is part of Gaza Division.

"900th Brigade" and "179th Armored Brigade" are under 99th Division

"Kiryati Brigade" is under 146th Division

"Harel Brigade" is under 252nd Division Guy Haddad 1 (talk) 17:37, 5 October 2024 (UTC)

Start of invasion

The article states that Ground Troops entered Gazs on October 27h, yet in the Info Box it says October 7th. Plese be coherent. The "Invasion" started NOT on October 7th 185.40.63.174 (talk) 08:42, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
