Iron Horsemen beginnings
editThe Iron Horsemen existed long before 1980 in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio regions. In fact, the Iron Horsemen had a running feud with the Outlaws in Ohio and Kentucky in the mid to late 1970s. There were several acts of violence between the two groups in the Louisville, Ky area pre-dating 1980. An Iron Horsemen President went to the Outlaws clubhouse in downtown Louisville to negotiate a truce in about 1978, the truce lasted for several years. Obviously, the 1980 information is not correct although I cannot attest to the location (Maryland). My information is based solely on personal knowledge. I was NOT a member but I was present for the truce meeting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oldgoat50 (talk • contribs) 02:01, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
WikiProject Biography banner
editThe scope of WikiProject Biography says it " ... includes only articles about individual persons, not about an organization or group or association, unless a substantial section of the article is a biography of a person related to that organization or group." While I see the names of some members mentioned, I do not see a "substantial section" that is a biography. So why is the WikiProject Biography banner included in the list of WikiProjects? - Cameron Dewe (talk) 12:00, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
Founded 1967
editIn 1965 Time Magazine published photos of the Hells Angels that also featured members of an MC calling themselves "Iron Horsemen, So. Cal.", using a guy on a chopper as an emblem. If this is the same MC, they cannot have been founded in 1967.
The Iron Horsemem MC is made up of an Association. There is a triangle on the front of their vest that has IHA. IRON HORSEMEN ASSOCIATION. This Association is made up of four different Iron Horsemen motorcycle clubs. Kentucky, Maine, New York, and So Cal.
The So. Cal club was founded earlier than the Kentucky club founded in 1967. But, did not join the Association till the 90s.
