See the italicized sections. Central Asia is far from the centers of literate civilization so sources are poor and often contradictory. When I cross the standard histories I often find minor contradictions and it is difficult to know or express the degree of uncertainty of any statement. See for example the last paragraph of Hephthalite Empire#Ethnicity. For central Asian history doubt everything a little but don't complain until you have checked several sources and found something clearly better than the current Wikipedia.Benjamin Trovato (talk) 22:30, 21 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
