edityou forgot to mention the the people who made mariguana illegal war on drugs is to general idea but it does not mention who were the people behind the scenes who made the decison for making it ilegal and why. for the real reasons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.109.194.46 (talk) 08:51, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Very little on Colombian heroin.
editIsn't all of the 'china white' white powder heroin hcl on the east coast of the United States ultimately from Colombia too? I know it's from "south america", so I'm assuming Colombia with all their drug infrastructure. Alternately the west coast U.S. 'black tar' heroin is from Mexico, as is well known. 4.255.51.149 (talk) 03:44, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

editI think it also conflates coca production with cocaine production, a common error in analysis on this topic. I will research to see what I can find on cocaine but suspect Colombia is still number one on cocaine production even if coca production (up to and including coca base or paste -- two different products -- has returned to Peru. This is due to the economics of the cocaine industry.Bemcfarland (talk) 11:25, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Last 10 Years
editThis article has no record of developments in this situation in the past decade or so, focus should be on keeping it up to date. This is too far behind. AngryZinogre (talk) 21:27, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Edit Idea
editI just added the new "History of Drug Section", thoughts on removing the cocaine section...it seems a little confusing and full of slightly irrelevant information Flowerpancakes (talk) 15:34, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
