A Modest Proposal
editI have a modest proposal to add a section called In Popular Culture to this article. In the section, we add:
- On June 20, 2012, Mordy Mandell wrote a rap poem "that teaches you everything you need to know about IRS whistleblowing."[1]
The reasons for noteworthiness and adding are:
- 1 Increase of the understanding of tax to:
- hip hop artists, such as Little Kim,
- actors, such as Wesley Snipes,
- 2 Show the non-tax community that there is humor in the soul of a tax attorney.
Please discuss. Geraldshields11 (talk) 12:40, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
Illinois Tool Works Inc
editDear Fellow Editors, I propose to add a discussion about "the $ 2 million reward to a whistleblower who exposed an alleged tax avoidance scheme by Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) that cost the U.S. Treasury hundreds of millions of dollars" from the IRS Whistleblower Office.[1][2]

Proposed edit: renaming this page to "IRS Whistleblower Office"
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- Specific text to be added or removed: Change the name of the page, "Whistleblower Office," to "IRS Whistleblower Office."
- Reason for the change: I think that added specificity to this page would be beneficial so that people won't get this program confused for another one. Currently, there's Wikipedia pages for the SEC Office of the Whistleblower and the Department of Defense Whistleblower Program, and to avoid confusion I think this page should have a more accurate title, "IRS Whistleblower Office."
- References supporting change: Please let me know if this is incorrect, but I don't know if this proposed change needs a citation? It's more of a semantics change and not a content change. However, let me know if I need to change anything about this edit! It just seemed pretty major so just wanted to do it as a requested edit first.

This change makes sense to me, though I don't see how to change the name of a page. Do you know how? If so I vote for going ahead. Mastimido (talk) 12:59, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
