Pronunciation

edit

How do you pronounce Iðunn? 70.50.173.172 20:24, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

ð should be pronounced like the voiced 'th' of contemporary English [as in 'thee' or 'thou', as opposed to unvoiced 'th' of 'think'], so it's roughly pronounced like 'Ithoon'. --80.139.217.225 (talk) 04:05, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

THE LETTER Ð DOESN'T EXIST IN ENGLISH SO IT SHOULD BE WRITTEN ITHUNN — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.157.14.9 (talk) 17:52, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Successful good article nomination

edit

I am glad to report that this article nomination for good article status has been promoted. This is how the article, as of April 25, 2008, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Pass.
2. Factually accurate?: Pass. This article is very well-referenced, and thoroughly linked to relevant topics.
3. Broad in coverage?: Semi-pass, mentioning more things than the apples and the Poetic Edda and Prose Edda could be beneficial. Western views, or contemporary views, perhaps?
4. Neutral point of view?: Pass.
5. Article stability? Pass.
6. Images?: Strong pass, good work!

There just isn't much to say, a very thorough and enjoyable article. Good work!

If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to Good article reassessment. Thank you to all of the editors who worked hard to bring it to this status, and congratulations.— +Hexagon1 (t) 02:58, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ydun redirect?

edit

Shouldn't Ydun redirect to this page? After all, when someone wants to find out what the name is and where it comes from, this article would be the best destination, wouldn't it? --93.163.53.245 (talk) 20:04, 25 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, and done. :) :bloodofox: (talk) 23:25, 25 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
