Talk:Hypodontia

Latest comment: 2 years ago by 220.253.75.66 in topic Introduction Changes

"Hypodontia describes a situation where the patient is missing 6 teeth or less, excluding the 3rd molars or wisdom teeth." - this article

"Absence of one or more wisdom teeth is an example of hypodontia." -Wikipedia article on wisdom teeth

This is--at best--confusing. Could someone with dental knowledge fix this? Nkb 1/2/10 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.141.137.105 (talk) 15:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Actual numbers?

edit

Wow. This article doesn't say what typical numbers of human teeth are. Nor does the article on hyperdontia. — President Lethe (talk) 06:50, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Reorganised genetics section

edit

I reorganised the text in the genetics section so that the progression of statements made more sense, with less repetition. I deleted a few sentences, but most of the size change in the diff is due to spaces removed from references. (I am not watching this page, so please ping me if you want my attention.) Introduction Changes

edit

I don’t think it’s fair to outright say that it has a negative affect on apppearance, as it is commonly genetic and maintain symmetry throughout the mouth. I know this makes me bias, but I have it and have never had someone notice before. Please remove this part if you don’t agree. 220.253.75.66 (talk) 11:00, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
