Need a better photo

edit

We really should have a photo of a hurricane in the proper glassware. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rees11 (talkcontribs) 21:20, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would like to nominate the refereed image. Glassware is choice, and appealing.[1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Catc1h22 (talkcontribs) 19:14, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I note that the drink in the photo does not match the recipe in the sidebar. The recipe is passion fruit-based, but passion fruit is orange-beige in color and would not mix with dark rum to produce red. The drink in the photo is probably made from a grenadine-based or a berry-syrup-based recipe. Bob 18:03, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hurricane Recipe&Variant discussion

edit

I would like to nominate, and add this recipe if there are no objections and a group consensus [1] http://drink-recipe.us/hurricane-cocktail/ Catc1h22 (talk) 20:19, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I object. The defining characteristic of a Hurricane is the passion fruit, and this recipe has none. Besides, we don't need a list of recipes here (per WP:NOT). Rees11 (talk) 02:12, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

There is a variant with passian fruit on the site!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.228.6.226 (talk) 13:23, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just drink the 151 straight - on the rocks if it burns for you....but mixers make people sick NOT the alcohol. It is NOT the best rum by far but a good one considering price67.238.201.141 (talk) Jenny

Neutrality in question

edit

The last paragraph of the article reads like an ad for LVMH spirits products, as it mentions three of them by name. Given that the article (at the time I'm writing this) was last updated August 27th, 2011 I fear that it is a deliberate attempt by someone connected with LVMH to capitalize on Hurricane Irene, which is currently threatening the east coast of the United States. Many bars, restaurants, and consumers throw so-called "Hurricane parties" when actual hurricanes are imminent, so I believe this calls the neutrality of that entire paragraph into question and ought to be stricken.
