Kamchatka

edit

Is this edit correct? I thought "The northwest part of European Russia, the Kamchatka Peninsula and the coastal regions of the Pacific Ocean" means bears are found in 3 different places, not that Kamchatka is in Europe. It still needs a change: "Kamchatka Peninsula and other coastal regions..." Art LaPella 04:11, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Modern

edit

This article doesn't mention anything about hunting in Russia today, it deals entirely with the distant past, before the Revolution even. What, the Blosheviks didn't like hunting and modern Russians are well fed enough not to want to hunt anymore? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.112.16.133 (talk) 22:34, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Agreed (although that might actually be me from awhile ago, I don't remember, still valid, last person to hunt was the Tsar?). In addition, I highly doubt the Royal Navy sunk Russian ships, during a war in which they were allied. The source also seems to have disappeared, so I'm removing it until some gets sources.

Lastly its briefly mentioned that some members of the royal family have hunted from young ages, such as 13. For hunters, before the modern age, thats really not that odd, I have a picture of my Dad with a shotgun and ducks laid across the boat from when he was 5. I started playing with a .3006 Remington when I was a similar age, so its worth mentioning but not worth stressing. 174.112.18.193 (talk) 10:36, 21 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
