Two versions, different narrators
editWhen I first saw this show it was narrated by Mike Rowe, but I just saw another version narrated by British actor Richard Lintern. As far as I could tell, the shows were identical except for the narrator. Anyone know why this was done? Metrowestjp (talk) 02:46, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- It's usually done for different markets but I don't know why. MythBusters suffers the same problem. The UK version has somebody with a horrible, almost comedic voice narrating it, making it impossible to watch. --AussieLegend (talk) 03:09, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, I think you're watching the British adaptation. The second season of the American broadcast has Erik Dellums narrating, which is an American voice actor. The reason being is that season two was broadcast on The Science Channel, but went back to Discovery for the third with Mike Rowe narrating again. JanderVK (talk) 15:56, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
I want to point out another related error. IMBD which Wikipedia cites seems to be incorrect. I have personally watched the first three episodes of Season 5 on Hulu and the narrators voice is Erik Todd Dellums’ and not Mike Rowe’s
- Erik Todd Dellums is also the narrator for season 8, not Mike Rowe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.164.96.225 (talk) 09:03, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- I'm watching season 8, episode 3, and the narrator is Mike Rowe. 75.172.60.84 (talk) 04:33, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- I'm a little late to the party here, but I have heard two versions of S08E06, and they have subtly different narration. The one from Amazon has a slower cadence and I suspect is narrated by Erik Todd Dellums, while another, also from a web source, sounds more like Mike Rowe. Both, of course, are different from the British narrator that I've also heard in other episodes. Gamer 2k4 (talk) 20:28, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

- I agree with 207.164.96.225, I just pulled up each episode of season 8, and they're all narrated by Erik Todd Dellums. It's clearly his voice in the audio, and his name is the only one listed as narrator in the end credits. Maybe the different versions that 75.172.60.84 and Gamer 2k4 saw were some of the "off-season" episodes listed on IMDB that cobble together footage from previously aired "in-season" episodes. Season Three Episode Titles
edit(Previous comments rescinded.) The titles for S03 (as of this writing) now accurately reflect the titles as they originally appeared in the episodes themselves, which was not the case on my last visit. I had also provided an assemblage of screenshots as proof of title accuracy but I realize now that the screenshot link might not be allowed here. Should anyone disagree with the edits I made to the titles on the article's page, I will be happy to provide the image link privately.
S04E09?
editI'm a faithful viewer of this (now cancelled?) show and am 99.9999% sure that no such episode has ever aired. It most certainly did not air on the date given on this page (2015-09-01). I watched S04E08, whose air date here is correct, the night it premiered and am dead certain that no other new episode aired that night. And despite the numerous repeats of the show on Science since then, no such episode has ever been repeated either, unlike literally every other episode. Furthermore, there are no captures available anywhere on the Internet (as far as I'm able to determine) past S04E08.
One site I found listed an additional EIGHT episodes of S04 that I know have never aired, so I'm wondering if maybe S04 was split into two halves, with the second half still in the can but as yet unaired.
I hope someone can fill in some of the details about this episode and the show in general. WavSlave (talk) 02:33, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
- One site I found later listed sixteen episodes in S04. In their list, the second set of eight episodes was nothing more than retitled versions of the first eight. It even specified what the original episode was. Indeed, S04E09 is a duplicate of one of the true eight (and only eight) episodes of the fourth season. I.e., there is no S04E09 and it should be removed from the list. As I stated previously, I watched S04E08 the night it aired and can promise that no second new episode aired on the same date. Moreover, not a single reputable source lists more than eight unique episodes being in S04.WavSlave (talk) 07:58, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
S05E00?
editS05E00 - Most Amazing Discoveries So is this actually episode 1 of the new seaon? IMDB thinks so [1] . But the Science Channel only lists episode 3 till 8, so I'm not 100% sure [2], VictordeHollander (talk) 22:03, 14 February 2017 (UTC)

Season 10 or 11?
editAre the episodes listed under season 11 really a new season? Discovery+ lists them under season 10. Do we have any official statement to determine that? If not, I'd honestly go with the Discovery version. CanePlayz (Jacob) (talk) 16:30, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
