Inclusion of Holmes as a Black Belt county
editWhile six counties in Mississippi are defined as belonging to the geographic Black Belt/Prairie, according to the MS Encyclopedia, some 200 across the South are included among those counties defined as belonging because of "a majority African American population and a long history of cotton production." Holmes satisfies this definition, so is included in the category of Black Belt (US).Parkwells (talk) 20:12, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
