I removed the following from the article:
Holland and Barrett like to think they have great customer care, however many shoppers who have used thier service would argue otherwise. Most Employers of this shop are, in fact, brainwashed into the "facts" that adjorn each product. Quite a number of the products they stock have been shown to have utterly no effect on the symptons they "help".
Looks like unverified POV to me. --Happynoodleboy 18:26, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
The problem i have with most of Holland and Barretts pills and capsules are there size. They are far too large for the average person to swallow . I constantly find myself have to break the pills in half and empty the contence out of the capsules. Why is it not possible in this day of great technology to make them easier to swallow and to take two swaller ones instead of one bloody great horse tablet ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.178.67.119 (talk) 13:29, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

This article reads too much like an advertisemment for the company.... having worked for the company for the last 10 years (as an area manager)I can confirm that the training is actually very poor. It has been company policy, to hire staff with previous retail experience(in any field)-- up unitl recently, for example, we pro-actively recruited staff and particularly managers from Victoria Wine and Supercigs shops, whose training in retail was considered thorough! There seems to be a great deal of history missing in this article. A good source is Stortford History which explains the origins of Holland & Barrett alot better than the corporate slant on their "franchise" website. I will try and add this to my list of future edits, but if anyone wants to tackle this feel free.
Did you know that Holland and Barret are the UK's most leading drug supplier since 2005
