editI have reverted edits to the article from an IP which was also adding very low-quality external links. I am not knowledgable about the content, but the quality of the elements which I could judge (the external links) was very low. The reverted edit: [1]. Thue | talk 18:13, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
editCyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Clan
editThe Hmar tribe comprises numerous sub-tribes or clans (Pahnam in Hmar language) such as Aimol, Biete/Biate, Chiru, Changsan, Chawngthu (Lersia, Khuntil and Vanchiau) Chawhte, Khawzawl, Vankal, Darlong, Darngawn, Faihriem, Hrangchal, Hrangkhawl, ,Hnamte, Hualngo, Khawbung, Lawitlang, Leiri, Lungtau, Neitham, Ngurte, Hekte, Hrangate, Varte, Lungchuang, Sialhnam, Tlawmte, Suamte, Sakachep, Tuahlawr, Chhinghel, Khello, Mualvum, Tumchhung, Khupchhung, Khupthlang, Pakhumate, Selate, Sanate, Pakhuang, Banzang, Tamte, Thiek, Zote, etc. In the past, these tribes had their own villages and their own dialects. However, today the majority of the Hmar population use Hmar language and Mizo language.[citation needed] 49.37.108.85 (talk) 08:02, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
Request
editPlease don't add Meitei Script in Hmar page again. Meitei Script is totally alien to Hmar people. Hmar used Latin alphabet which is same as Mizo alphabet.. Zoramnuam (talk) 11:57, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
Editing from Hmar Ṭawng of the Infobox to Hmar Hnam
editI changed Hmar Ṭawng of the Infobox to Hmar Hnam because Hmar Ṭawng means Hmar language and Hmar Hnam means Hmar Tribe/People Zoramnuam (talk) 13:11, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
Deletion
editI have put a propose delete tag because the Hmar article is a proper subset of Mizo people, and no one calling themselves Hmar. We all identify ourselves as Mizo. If not deleted, it should be merged with the Mizo people page or put in the same category as Germanic tribes or any other historical ethnic group which has been replaced by a new identity. Sangsangaplaz (talk) 13:40, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, I have removed WP:PROD because I noticed several sources in the article mentioning Hmar people separately even if they are a subset of Mizo people as you said. Please note that I am not familiar with the topic and my inference is from the list of bibliographical resources provided within the article. WP:AFD would be the appropriate way if you think this article must be deleted. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 15:37, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- That is up for debate as we still acknowledge the existence of Hmar but nobody identify as Hmar. Sangsangaplaz (talk) 16:01, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- I do not think that is a valid criterion for deletion. If Hmar people historically existed, then it can have a Wikipedia article as long as their existence is supported by valid sources and in this case, it does. Anyway, you can request an AFD if you think your point provides a valid reason for deleting the article. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 16:37, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- This is not a good move Sangsanga. Hmar are Mizo but Hmar people don't forget their Hmar title, also Hmar are under the Kuki fold in Manipur.. This move will not create unity among Zo/Chin-Kuki-Mizo peoples.. All Hmar things can not be written in Mizo page.. Hope u understand Zoramnuam (talk) 14:47, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- But it can, you guys don't even look at my alternative option Sangsangaplaz (talk) 16:34, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
- Please note that my objection was mainly technical as it was inappropriate to use PROD route for article deletion based on the reason you mentioned. PROD can only be used for uncontroversial deletion requests. Since two users have already objected, you can no longer PROD the article. If you think your points are valid, please initiate a deletion discussion using the AfD route. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 17:53, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
- Yes i know that but let's look at alternatives Sangsangaplaz (talk) 18:11, 30 March 2023 (UTC)

Wikipedia Administor please keep an eye on Haoreima as he keep on doing Disruptive editing on this pages
editHaoreima keep on adding Meitei Alphabet which is alien to Hmar people.. And not only that he add Meitei as Second language of Hmar. I request him/her to not do this disruptive many times. But he keep on doing this things again and again after I correct his work.. How can Meitei be Second language of Hmar.. Haoreima please explained to me.. Most of Hmar can speak Mizo language. So, Hmar and Mizo are the two native languages used by Hmar peoples.. Please dont disrupt again.. Zoramnuam (talk) 10:22, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Zoramnuam: Invite any experienced editor or any admin for the discussion. You cannot remove any information cited with reliable source, whenever you dislike the fact. Check the sources first. It's from Ethnologue. Haoreima (talk) 05:48, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

Request to remove "The speakers of this language use Meitei language as their second language (L2)" from the page as due to the current Manipur conflict [1] a Meitei editor edited the Hmar page as speaking Meitei language as their second language whilst the Hmars(including me) do not. Most of us Hmars use the Mizo language (Lushai language) as our second language because they are closely related (The Hmar language is grouped by the Linguists to be in the Lushai-kuki-Chin family of the tibeto-Burman group of languages. The language has lots of affinity with sister languages like Mizo, Kom, etc) [2] Josefkev (talk) 04:55, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- Not done: The sentence "The speakers of this language use Meitei language as their second language (L2)" has three sources and I don't see anything wrong with them. This sentence with references can't just be removed because you said that you are Hmar and you don't speak Meitei. Deltaspace42 (talk • contribs) 13:12, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

Please change Hmar is a Kuki ethnic group to The Hmar are a scheduled tribe group because official documents of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs India[1][2] and the Census of India 2011[3][4] clearly mentioned Hmar as an independent scheduled tribe and not a "Kuki".
Please change living in Northeast Indian state of Manipur, Mizoram, Assam and western Myanmar (Burma) and eastern Bangladesh to living in the Northeast Indian states of Manipur[5], Mizoram[5], Assam[5] and Meghalaya[5] because these four mentioned states are the only states where Hmar people are officially recognized as scheduled tribes; the official records or documents for the Hmars living in Myanmar and Bangladesh do not exist or is not documented.
Please remove They use Meitei language as their second language (L2) in Manipur. They speak Mizo language as their L1 in Mizoram because the notion to add L2 (second language) in the introductory note of a tribe is irrelevant and unnecessary as Hmar tribe is not even a notable tribe (below 100,000 in population; 2011 Indian census). If at least it cannot be removed, place it under the new heading "Languages." The first language of Hmar people is Hmar language. This may be a 'vandalism' by certain editors with high user access levels 'forcefully' imposing the L2 on the tribe's introductory description. Manipuri language as an L2 is already mentioned two times, one in an introductory note (where it is uncalled for and irrelevant), and secondly in the infobox (where L2 is even placed on top of L1).
Please remove Jason Azzopardi under the "Notable People" section, because Jason Azzopardi is a Maltese politician and lawyer and nowhere a Hmar.
Thank you.
