Template
editRequest to add WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers to template since he was a film director HerbertGP36 (talk) 12:45, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Herbert. Welcome! Nice job with the article, thank you for your contributions. Join the project, you seem like a natural, as does this article. Then nominate the article at project talk, or add the banner yourself. Consider adding an image to Wikimedia Commons, they have good instructions on how to upload and use an image in Wikipedia. Thanks again. Hugh (talk) 14:05, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Hugh. So is it ok to add |filmbio-work-group=yes to the template? Currently there is only 1 good image of Herbert Mason (on set with John Mills from the BFI website) however I'm not sure if I would be allowed to use that. What would your advice be? Best. HerbertGP36 (talk) 18:33, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- My advice would be to join the project! WP:WikiProject_Actors_and_Filmmakers#Participants From your interests you seem like a natural. I doubt any project participant of longer standing would object to bannering, and further identifying as bio, an article so close to good article status, see WP:PROJGUIDE. Here is some info on what images are allowed [1]. Additional advice would be to pursue formal good article status, see WP:GA. May I ask respectfully, do you have a connection to the subject? Thanks again for your contributions. Hugh (talk) 17:26, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Rating
editHello again Herbert! The page does look great. One thing I want to make clear that several editors, rightfully, do not understand, is that the article rating system is not the same as the American grading system. "C-Class" is not the same as a "C" in the US education system. C-Class denotes a sufficient article quality with only minor changes needs, essentially. Upon reviewing the article again, I would state that it appears to be on the border between C and B-Class. My main hesitation here for promoting it is length. That said, this is not a strict rule, since some articles might not have too much information to report overall. I do think it could be B-Class. But my advice is to find someone from Wikiproject Theatre for a comment. DaltonCastle (talk) 03:06, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
- Hi again. I've recently created a filmography box for his films (see Filmography) - just to keep them all in one place. Thanks for the comments and yes will do. HerbertGP36 (talk) 10:16, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
These are the 6 criteria for B-Class.
- The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations.
- The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies.
- The article has a defined structure.
- The article is reasonably well-written.
- The article contains supporting materials where appropriate.
- The article presents its content in an appropriately understandable way.
I believe all criteria other than #4 are met. In this regard, the page just needs to be cleaned up a little. Such as, in the introductory paragraphs, there are a few redundancies. Fix these and I think we are good to go. DaltonCastle (talk) 21:44, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
