Year of Birth
editThe first line of the article has his year of birth as 1864, then the first line of the biography section has it as 1863. Can someone confirm please? DeepestGreen[talk] 19:39, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Confirmation of birth year

- Dispute appears again. I have found one book citing his birth year as 1863. Even worse, the 1919 exhibition catelog cited the years as 1862. A possible way to confirm the year is check the archives from National Academy of Design where he was elected as a full member. Bachfanwang (talk) 15:00, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
