I might trim a bit on Nayan's rebellion against Kublai Khan - it's not particularly relevant to this article that Kublai personally led the army that suppressed the rebellion, the size of the army, or the line about Li Ting. You might jump from mentioning the revolt to a simple statement like "In 1287, soldiers equipped with hand cannons attacked Nayan's camp. The Yuanshi reports..." Parsecboy, Khanate General has made no edits to Wikipedia since April 5, which means that there is a good chance that he/she will not respond to this review. If, within a couple more days, nothing happens, I think I would be willing myself to address the concerns that you have mentioned, even though I have never before edited the article.
