editI removed the following passage:
- Some American and German linguists, including late James D. McCawley, celebrate this day yearly to recognise the creation of the Korean alphabet as a linguistic achievement of global significance.
I don't think this is significant enough to be mentioned in Wikipedia. I read [1]. It looks like they just wanted to have a party that was by no means formal. --Nanshu 22:39, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Original year
editWas it 1444 or 1446? Both are mentioned... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.37.29.254 (talk) 14:18, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
Spelling
editThe title of the article uses "Hangul," but the opening sections use "Hangeul." I understand that there can be variations in the the transliteration of any language, but it should be consistent within the article, or the difference should be explained. [user:PurpleChez|PurpleChez] 10/9/14
- I agree, the title should be Hangeul Day. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:35, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
