Talk:Hampton

Latest comment: 17 years ago by Thefuguestate in topic origins?

hampton is a slang name for a penis most commonly used in southern england

i think it comes from a colloquial shortening of the place name hampton wick and is part of cockney rhyming slang

why is this the only thing on the talk page for "hampton"?

origins?

edit

It seems worth explaining why this is such a popular place name. I presume it has anglo-saxon routes, but I have no idea what 'hamp' means. Thefuguestate 15:07, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
