Removed this paragraph
editI removed this paragraph from the article: "The origins of the town date back to the mid-1700's, when settlers started to arrive in the area of what is now northern Indiana." There is no evidence that Euro-Americans ever visited the Hamilton area in the 18th century. The first permanent settlers in Steuben County arrived in 1831. MrHarman 18:45, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Namesake
editThe town was not named for the lake, the lake had its name changed to that of the town.
By the way, why not mention the lake? It is the main thing that makes Hamilton a resort town. No hint of it here, except mentioning that visitors are known as ‘Lakers’. 2A00:23C7:E284:CF00:8537:A0E2:E05F:E95B (talk) 00:53, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
