To find this page I had to navigate to https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/HP_Pavilion, then find https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/HP_Pavilion_tx_series in the "Notebooks" subsection. Even after reaching this page, there is no mention of the individual models. For instance, I own a functional HP Pavilion tx1320us and I was not able to search wikipedia for this model. Even an outside search engine (DuckDuckGo) was not able to find it. My tx1320us came with 2 GB RAM and Windows Vista Home for its operating system. After reading this page, I am certain the only reason that it remains functional to this day is due to most of its internal parts being replaced (circa late 2009) under an extended warranty (full accidental, etc.; was about $200 at the time due to the laptop being on clearance because of no recall by HP).

I know there is also a tx1310us model but I don't recall enough about its specification to list here. In the future, if I remember, I'll do an "lshw" dump and breakout the tx1320us specs into its own table or section with allowances for the other individual models' specifications to be added. Diagnostic History

Removed a large amount of content entitled 'diagnostic history'. I've replaced with a very stub intro to the model, with a reference to a CNet review on this model. Even if the diagnostic history is re-added, it would be good to keep this intro to give a casual reader an intro before hittting them with a lot of detail.

As to the diagnostic history itself, certain someone arrived at these details, but will they ever be verifiable? Perhaps some diagnostics from the manufacturer or a 3rd party reviewer (certainly there may be a bias within using manufactured-provided measurements to back up the performance/lack of, of their own product). The previous text also contained the claims related to 'not booting' - are these issues common to most/all users of the product, and well-discussed at 3rd party sources? Good fun! I am a technical user and own a tx1000. Due to the nature of the design defect with this series of laptops, every single laptop in this series will eventually experience the fatal hardware failure and will die. There are plenty of instances out there of people complaining about the exact same symptoms. There are also a number of youtube videos on how to fix the laptop using elaborate methods. Because of the nature of the problem, I think it will reach critical mass with most users within the next year, and hopefully HP will provide a recall/warranty extension. 174.23.244.34 (talk) 07:18, 28 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
