editThe only things keeping this one from being directly tagged as a stub are the various tables - as (1) the first indiginous Indian military aircraft and (2) the last of the Kurt Tank (= Focke-Wulf) line, this is a more important subject than your average bear, and deserves some attention from those knowedgable on the subject. - Aerobird 04:20, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
War history
editThe fighter did see action in the Indo-pakistan war of 1971. The details should be mentioned.
I do remember this page being bigger, or maybe theres another, bigger Marut page on wikipedia...This page can defnitely be expanded by leaps and bounds.. theres a lot more information available than is shown here. 155.69.5.236 07:08, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Needs infobox, references. Specifications and footer are complete. Also, needs much more text. As a contemporary aircraft, there is surely a wealth of information available on its development and use. Karl Dickman talk 01:21, 11 January 2007 (UTC) |

HF-24 MARUT Rate of Climb 22.5 m/s or 4,444 ft/min
editIn Performance section rate of climb should be 22.5 ms or 4,444 ft/min
Why? because it is Accurate performance data obtained from IAF evaluation, that can be check all over internet or in any book ! Also if someone calculate "Time to altitude": 9 min 20 s to 12,000 m (40,000 ft) to m/s or ft/min it will get the same results !
Max climb rate - 22.5 ms (4,444ft/min) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TRUTH, JUSTICE & RIGHT WAY (talk • contribs) 05:19, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
- 1) You don't get the same results - 12000/560 = 21.4 m/s. not 22.5. 2) You cannot convert Time to altitude to an climb rate by simple division, as the climb rate is the maximum, instantaneous figure (normally at sea level) - this maximum would be expected to be much higher then the average value given by a time to altitude. 3) If the values you quote are "all over the internet" or "in any book", where are they? The only source that you quoted, militaryfactory.com is not a reliable source - while Jane's All the World's Aircraft is a high quality reliable source (who would have got their information from HAL or the Indian government).
