Sourced information about her international career should not be removed. That's the point of an encyclopedia. Having an extensive career is not a reason to cut her page short and leave readers uninformed. People go to this page for the purpose of finding that information. As is, her page is STILL incredibly short for a player of her notibility. I hope someone else can add more info to make this page look comparable to articles of other footballers. There is no reason for her page in her own language (English - for Chelsea) to have less information than her other language articles from countries she's not even connected to. Consensus on footballer articles, and even Reiten's articles in other languages, shows we need to put her career information in her career section. As someone with 160 caps for Norway (youth and senior), this is already the tiniest sliver of a summary of her career. Helpfulwikieditoryay (talk) 18:19, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

There are standards on how those sections should look like, and "career information" does NOT mean "lets explain in vast detail about every minor tournament she played in, including friendlies". You included a huge pile of text without any breaks and many unsourced statements. Everything was already explained - her youth career achievemtns, senior debut, senior first goal, major tournament appearances, while you are adding so many unimportant minor things. Not to mention you are appareantry too incompetent to at least remove the previous text that was already there before adding a new text, and now in your edits, the same information is mentioned twice all over the article - it went from U13 to her senior debut to 2019 Algarve Cup in the first paragraph, and then the information about her debut, 2019 Algarve Cup etc. is mentioned again a few paragraphs below.
  • You mentioned EVERY single game she played for U19 without any context why is this important, literally 200 words about "she played against this team, then against that team, and then she also played this match, in the quartefinals she played again blah blah, in the first round they lost to England blah blah" - WP:NSTATS applies there
  • "She made her senior international appearance in a small tournament in La Manga" — irrelevant, just include that she debuted in a friendly match like I did, and according to what is this "small tournament" ?
  • "She then played the full 90 minutes against England three days later" – yeah AND? Its a freaking friendly match, WP:NSTATS
  • "After two appearances in the last two World Cup qualifiers through which Norway qualified for the World Cup and a friendly against New Zealand, she had to wait more than two years for her next appearance" – see above, again mentioning every random game she played with no context why is this important that she played two games and one friendly match, WP:NSTATS
  • "It was for the Algarve Cup in 2017 that she was nominated again for the senior national team and played in three games" – and AGAIN see above, another "list of football matches played by Guro Reiten" apparently, not to mention its a friendly match again.
  • "With two victories at the end of qualifying for the 2023 World Cup, Norway secured a place at the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand" – who cares? This article is about Reiten, not about Norway national team.
  • "As they qualified after the six games, the last two games, which had been postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and which no longer affected the rest of the qualification, did not take place" – see above, who the hell cares, this has nothing to do with Reiten.
  • Did I mention that about 65% of sentences you added are fully unsourced?
  • Did I mention bad manual of style, like mixing between "-" and ":" while listing results, mixing between DMY and MDY date formats through the section etc.

So yeah, if you won't trim this down by at least 30% and fix other problems, I will just revert it back. Snowflake91 (talk) 18:46, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
