Politics in guangzhou
editHow can it be that the topic politics is completely left out for a huge city like guangzhou ? 146.0.216.177 (talk) 09:28, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- I researched the wikipedia entries of several other famous cities in the world, and almost all of them have a government section or detailed information about the government, but not necessarily a politics section. For Guangzhou's wikipedia entry, there is a lot of information mentioned its government, but there is really no dedicated politics section. If you were to add this section, what would you like to add? Jiao0052 (talk) 05:06, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

Update biased information for Guangzhou
editWe are planning to correct the biased content and amplify the information about the language of Guangzhou under the “culture” section. Currently, the Wikipedia article only refers to the Cantonese language entry as the introduction to Guangzhou’s language, which would lead the audiences to believe that Cantonese is the only local language widely used in Guangzhou. In fact, Guangzhou city possesses a large resident population who are Hakka speakers. It is estimated that in Zengcheng district and Huadu district of Guangzhou, Hakka speakers account for about 40 percent and a third of the district's population, respectively. - When you say "we", are you speaking on behalf of multiple people? Forgive me, but are you affiliated with @Arnoldyyf or @Seeect? It seems this may be a shared university program.
- Also @Jiao0052, I think I accidentally hid your reply in the archives since it was to a very old thread and I was doing some spring cleaning. In short: yes, the rule of thumb on Wikipedia is generally to minimize the amount of foreign-language text and to carefully handle what is there—for our purposes, the
