Bassetti's Health
edit"After experiencing a fever, Bassetti tested positive for COVID-19 on 28 November 2020"?? It's not yet 28 November 2020. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:4454:2DC:200:DD66:FB67:31AE:5717 (talk) 06:28, 7 November 2020 (UTC)

Working past 80
editHow rare is it for an ordinary or Curial official to continue in office past his 80th birthday? I know of one other contemporary case, Ricardo Blázquez, archbishop of Valladolid. In his case I've seen news reports that noted he was presiding at Holy Week services for the last time and is sure to be replaced soon. Reports about Bassetti all expect his retirement as president of the Italian conference ends later this month. But I haven't found any commentary on how extraordinarily rare this is (or at least I think it is). Thanks. 62.23.69.218 (talk) 10:34, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
