Trivia?
editConsidering that both the name and the inspiration for the framework design both come from Ruby on Rails, I don't think that RoR should be mentioned in passing in the trivia section, but should probably be mentioned in the first paragraph of the article. just my 2 cents.
Fair use rationale for Image:Grails grails logo.jpg
editImage:Grails grails logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I deleted two fair use page sections. Surely one is enough, right? 70.113.72.73 (talk) 23:57, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
Advert?
editInteresting how the introduction reads as copy-and-paste text from the Grails home page. It doesn't actually tell you anything about what Grails is, no links to clarifying subjects, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.37.27.158 (talk) 23:23, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Non-neutral point of view appears to pervade article
editWhile I think most of the page is great, this article seems to be written from the point of view that Grails is the best thing since sliced bread. Some of the praise of Grails should be toned down a little. The 'Target Audience' section feels wrong to me, I don't see that on other pages of web frameworks.M4bwav (talk) 13:44, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, maybe is because it is the best thing since sliced bread. I lerned to use it 3 days ago and I already got a web app way better than one that took me 3 months of work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.240.140.85 (talk) 01:56, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Controllers confusion
editAm I right in saying the fragment in Grails_(framework)#Controllers
class BookController {
def list() {
[ books: Book.list() ]
}
}
is actually returning a Map? Or is just the Groovy syntax is terse to the point of obfuscation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.10.249.211 (talk) 15:12, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
